Modern serverless computing can rightsize during job runtime by surfing cloud resources. The following services form the foundation that make this innovative new capability possible:
WaveWatcher
A continuous optimization service that uniquely rightsizes compute and storage resources during job runtime. Allows workloads with short periods of peak usage to surf automatically to smaller and larger instances based on their real-time resource needs.
AppCapsule
The AppCapsule snapshot service can be deployed as a standalone Memory Machine Cloud module, or as part of OpCenter to drive the capabilities of both the SpotSurfer and WaveRider features that migrate data automatically. AppCapsules capture the entire state of an application, including CPU registers, cache, and memory, and storage. The captured state can then be saved to persistent storage or transported to another server.

App Library
There is a long and growing list of apps that are qualified for compatibility. Applications such as Seurat, Cell Ranger, GATK, Sentieon, BWA, SPAdes, Megahit, Supernova, Blast+, and many more, can be quickly loaded directly from the App Library without needing to install them.
Float
A powerful low-code command language with a CLI for IT pros and a friendly no-code GUI for non-IT pros. Float allows long complex app deployments to be performed with a few commands or clicks.
Air
The simplest and most intuitive way to compute in the cloud. Pipelines are pre-loaded and OpCenter optimization happens automatically. Researchers and bioinformaticians can “get air” by just adding data using a friendly web interface. Air is deployed as a standalone Memory Machine Cloud service.

SpotSurfer
A checkpointing and recovery service that gracefully handles Spot terminations. The service combines AppCapsule checkpointing with cloud automation to make it possible for big stateful workloads to run safely on Spot instances, saving up to 90% in compute cost.
WaveRider
A continuous optimization service that and uniquely rightsizes compute and storage resources during job runtime. A continuous right-sizing service that allows workloads with short periods of peak usage to surf automatically to smaller and larger instances based on their real-time resource needs.
