Location: Milpitas, CA or Remote

The Role:

MemVerge is looking for an entrepreneurial, collaborative, and technically-oriented Business Development leader to manage our technology partners.

You’ll define the scope and specifics of the partnership, educate both organizations on the value of the partnership and the specifics of the integration, and execute external go-to-market activities.

This is an opportunity to demonstrate structured thinking, exceptional communication skills, excitement for forging new relationships, and a true partnership mindset that delivers positive sum deals.  In this role, you will regularly collaborate with executive leadership, product, finance, and all of our go-to-market (GTM) functions to help the organization execute on its strategy.

 

A Few of Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and meet potential partners in priority markets, and seek partnerships with their Executive management, Product, Development areas as applicable
  • Serve as the partnership lead on a cross-functional team (Product, GTM, Finance, Legal as applicable), establishing deal structure and key terms and leading negotiations Business partnerships will involve various types of alliances, OEM, joint development, resell, and co-sell engagements
  • Establish and grow strategic IHV/ISV/SaaS partnerships including defining business/product/technical synergies, coordinating any integration and go-to-market efforts, as a mechanism to execute on our strategy and accelerate our mission
  • Develop and foster relationships with key third party ISV’s for leverage MemVerge’s platform, API’s, and SDKs
  • Understand our partner’s strategic priorities and identify marketing opportunities that might emerge as part of their go-to-market strategy and initiatives
  • Identify new opportunities for growth, by continual collection of customer insights, market research, and competitive intelligence
  • Develop the go-to-market sales strategy and tactics based on the customer and business goals

 

The Top Skills You Will Need to Succeed:

  • Prior bus dev/OEM sales/licensing experience in especially in one of the following areas: CAE, EDA, CAD, or FSI software areas
  • Have a deep intellectual curiosity, be a self-learner, and love solving problems
  • Strong communication skills and adept at multiple communication mediums (e.g. verbal, writing and presenting)
  • Passion for collaboration with a broad set of cross-functional teammates (aka “a strong team player”) and an ability to drive results from a cross-functional team via influence
  • Ability to listen, learn, explain, and communicate at all levels and can learn complex concepts quickly
  • Alliance partnership experience including recruiting, negotiating win-win arrangements, and fostering growth of mutual business
  • Proven ability to develop relationships across all areas of the partner’s organization calling at multiple levels within the account: Business Management, Marketing, Product Development, Product Management, Security Team, Engineering, Finance, Procurement along with any key influencers, stakeholders or decision maker
  • Work collaboratively across the functions to create a result driven, team-oriented environment delivering growth

  • Experience in datacenter infrastructure Software, partnerships— data storage SW, HPC

Preferred Education:

  • BS/MS in Engineering Technology / MBA or equivalent preferred
